RICHMOND — The ball went in. 

A snap of the fingers separated James Madison’s basketball team from another frustrating loss in the Colonial Athletic Association tournament Monday, but junior guard Kent Culuko dropped in a 3- pointer from the corner at the buzzer to end a remarkable 19- point, second-half comeback. 

The result: A 77-76 victory over Old Dominion and a trip to — believe it or not — the NCAA Tournament.
